My non-fiction book, I'm Not Crazy, I Have Epilepsy, should be published this spring. I hope to have an excerpt available for free download within the next few weeks. After that it can be purchased as an e-book from various vendors (Amazon, Barnes and Noble), or ordered as a paperback. Links will be provided here with all the information you need to order the book to read on any e-reader, including Kindle, Nook, Sony, iPhone, iPad, Androids, Blackberrys, and even your computer. You can also purchase it as a traditional paper book.

This book will focus on how epilepsy affects patients and caregivers. It provides information doctors often don't tell patients. It describes seizures types most of the public have never heard of or seen. It talks about the death rate among people with epilepsy. I don't pull any punches, but it isn't a "pity me" book either. Rather I aim to give anyone interested pertinent information about this widely misunderstood condition and hopefully remove some of the stigma associated with it. I write about SUDEP, a term many patients with epilepsy have never even heard because doctors don't inform them of it, even though it is the epilepsy patient's equivalent to SIDS. I've found out on my own, often through personal experience, that knowledge is power, and there is precious little knowledge about epilepsy.

In the end I think I'm Not Crazy, I Have Epilepsy will give anyone who reads it a more clear understanding of epilepsy, something both the epilepsy community and the general public both need.
